How it works

How Insertora finds contextual link opportunities

A walkthrough of what happens between submitting a publisher and keyword and seeing ranked, evidence-backed opportunities.

  1. 1

    Submit a scan

Enter the publisher website, your target keyword and an optional client URL. Insertora validates and normalizes the address and blocks private or unsafe network targets.

  2. 2

    Wait in a fair queue

A fixed number of scans run at the same time across the whole service. Additional scans wait in first-in, first-out order and you can watch your position and an estimated wait.

  3. 3

Reuse or build the domain index

If the publisher was indexed recently, Insertora reuses that index. Otherwise it reads robots.txt, discovers URLs from sitemaps, feeds and internal links, and crawls permitted pages politely.

  4. 4

    Extract the article content

For each page it keeps the title, meta description, headings and article paragraphs, and removes navigation, footers, ads and other boilerplate.

  5. 5

    Score relevance

Each article is scored against your keyword using title and heading matches, BM25 body relevance, the best-matching paragraph, keyword coverage and placement quality.

  6. 6

    Review opportunities

Results are ranked 0–100 with Excellent, Strong and Moderate match levels, the best paragraphs, anchor suggestions and existing-link warnings.

What can and cannot be discovered

Insertora discovers pages listed in XML sitemaps and feeds and pages reachable through internal links (categories, archives, pagination). It does not assume a sitemap lists every page.

Orphaned pages — pages that are not in any sitemap and are not linked from anywhere on the site — cannot be reliably discovered without an external search index or a supplied URL list, so they may be missing from results.

Pages behind logins, paywalls, CAPTCHAs or robots.txt restrictions are never crawled.

How to read the results

  • 85–100

    Excellent Match

  • 70–84

    Strong Match

  • 50–69

    Moderate Match

  • <50

    Weak Match

“Existing paragraph” text is quoted from the page. “Suggested anchor” and “Suggested insertion sentence” are ideas for your outreach and do not exist on the publisher’s page.
