Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Insertora (“we”, “us”) collects when you use insertora.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

• Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed password, plus email verification status and email preferences.
• Scan data: the publisher URLs, keywords and optional client URLs you submit, scan status and results, and opportunities you save.
• Billing data: subscription status, invoices and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment provider (Stripe) and never stored on our servers.
• Support data: messages you send through support tickets or the contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, browser user agent and session information used for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention. Where possible we store IP addresses as one-way hashes.

The visitor cookie for free scans

To offer a free scan without signup while preventing abuse, we set a first-party cookie named insertora_vid containing a random identifier. It is encrypted, not readable by JavaScript, and kept for up to 365 days. We store only a hash of this identifier together with a hashed IP address, a hash of your browser's user agent and a count of free scans. It is not used for advertising or tracking across other websites. Because shared networks can share an IP address, we rely mainly on this cookie rather than on IP addresses alone. Clearing your cookies removes it.

We also use essential session and security (CSRF) cookies required for the site to work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data from publisher websites

When you run a scan, InsertoraBot fetches publicly accessible pages of the publisher website and stores extracted article text for a limited time to produce results and speed up later scans. We do not crawl pages behind logins or access controls.

How we use data

• To provide scans, results, exports and your dashboard.
• To manage subscriptions, credits and invoices.
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, scan and billing notifications) and, if you opt in, product news.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse and enforce usage limits.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run Insertora — for example hosting, email delivery and payment processing — under appropriate agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Guest scans are deleted after about 7 days. Finished account scans are deleted after 180 days unless you saved an opportunity from them. Cached publisher content expires according to our index retention settings. Billing records may be retained longer where the law requires.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile, change email preferences, and request deletion of your account from your account settings. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
